Talks and events

We raise awareness of our services by exhibiting at events across the UK. We also share information about the valuable work we do with groups, clubs, businesses, and organisations through talks and presentations.

These opportunities are a great way to learn about our work, the incredible dogs we train and how we help deaf people, and anyone with hearing loss to leave loneliness behind and reconnect with life through our range of personalised services.

Talks

Hearing Dogs volunteer delivering a talk

Our informative and insightful talks are delivered by our fantastic volunteer speakers or staff, and each talk can be flexible to fit your audience.

We can deliver our talks online or in-person*. Both types of talks last between 30 and 60 minutes and we allow time for questions at the end.

You can request a talk that gives you more information about the work we do to provide highly-trained hearing dogs, or we can tell you more about our wider range of services delivered by the Hearing Link Services team.

Although we do not charge for any of our talks, we would be grateful if you would consider a small donation in support of our work.

We do appreciate that not every group will be able to give a donation. For groups having a visit in person, it would be amazing if the speaker’s travel expenses could be covered.

How to request a speaker

To request a Hearing Link Services speaker, please email enquiries@hearinglink.org and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

*Please note: In-person talks are dependent on availability of volunteers in your local area.

Events

Hearing Link Services volunteers at an information event

Our volunteers and staff regularly attend and exhibit at events across the UK. This includes trade shows, conferences, community and fundraising fayres, and sensory events.

We use these as an opportunity to start conversations about hearing loss for individuals, and their families and friends.

They are also a chance to raise awareness of hearing loss, and share how our services can help to manage changes in hearing.

If you are planning an event and would like Hearing Link Services to exhibit, please contact us.
