big lottery logoHearing Link will soon be launching ‘Connect Hear NI’, an innovative 5-year project in Northern Ireland, funded by the National Lottery, and are now recruiting a Project Manager and a Technical Support Advisor to manage and support the project.

Connect Hear NI will offer new ways for adults with hearing loss to reconnect with their families and communities and to embrace experiences from which they are commonly excluded. We are looking for people who are motivated, well organised and have enthusiasm for engaging with volunteers in all of our activities.

(1) Project Manager, Connect Hear NI (P/T)
The Project Manager will oversee Connect Hear NI and we are looking for someone who is creative, motivated, well organised and has enthusiasm for engaging with volunteers. The ideal applicant will have proven experience of successfully delivering projects through volunteer led activities and will have an understanding of the impact of living with long term disabilities.

This post is part time and home based, initially 3 days per week, with possibility of increasing to 4 days per week within 6 months. Salary £23,340 pro rata.

(2) Technical Support Advisor, Connect Hear NI (P/T)
The Technical Support Advisor will engage with volunteers and local communities to support people affected by hearing loss to connect and live better using digital technology and assistive equipment. The ideal applicant will be passionate about helping people find easier ways of communicating and becoming involved with their everyday worlds and will have extensive knowledge of a range of assistive technology devices and communication resources.

This post is part time and home based, initially 2 days per week, with possibility of increasing to 3 days per week within 6 months. Salary £18,500 pro rata.
