Counselling organisations

If you or someone you know is feeling suicidal, having panic attacks or episodes of extreme anxiety or feels out of control you can access emergency support through the NHS.

The name for the mental health crisis support is different in each country of the UK, but is accessed in the same way.

To be referred to mental health crisis support the person needs to go to their local A&E department or call 999.

[Register your mobile phone free for Emergency SMS http://www.emergencysms.org.uk/ to be able to send an SMS to 999 and get emergency help]

Calling the GP or the out-of-hours service for the GP/NHS direct (08454 24 24 24) may also result in a referral to mental health crisis support.
