About the club

We are a social group (of the more mature age range), with most of our members being hard of hearing and a few of our friends who have normal hearing.

We have the use of a looped microphone for meetings. We have our own catering facilities in Room 1 and the building also has its own cafeteria. The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly, and we would love to welcome new members to our group.

Apart from our weekly social activities, we also go on various outings – in June we will have an outing to York; in July we will have an outing to Bridlington; in August we are planning to visit Ripon and in September we will have a meal out at Yeadon.

We usually have a spate of birthday parties at the club during October and November, and a Christmas Meal out in December. Members are always welcome to make suggestions for other outings or activities for the group.

We are affiliated with Hearing Link and the Leeds Society for the Deaf and Blind who are very supportive.

We also have contact with the Dales Services over Leeds for Deaf, HOH and Deaf Blind people which also provides lipreading and technical help if required.
