Hearing Information Days

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, incorporating Hearing Link Services, is hosting two special events in July as part of the Charity’s 40th anniversary celebrations.
Our Hearing Information Days will take place:-
- At The Beatrice Wright Centre in Bielby (near York) on Friday 1 July (11am-4pm)
- At The Grange in Saunderton, near Princes Risborough, Bucks, on Tuesday 12 July (11am-4pm)
The events are an opportunity for anyone with hearing loss, their families, and friends to meet people who have benefitted from our services, and some of the many volunteers who are a key part of our operations. Visitors can also learn more about how we train hearing dogs and our wide range of personalised services including a Helpdesk, support groups and products to support hearing.
Angie Platten, Director of Hearing Loss Services for the Charity, said: “Since our foundation in 1982 we have grown steadily and today our supporters are helping thousands of deaf people and those with hearing loss, practically and emotionally, every year.
“We are so grateful to our Hearing Dogs family, including donors, our deaf partners, puppy sponsors, volunteers, and staff. Their time, enthusiasm, and willingness to help others is an inspiration.
“Millions of people in the UK live with hearing loss, facing challenges in every aspect of their daily lives. So, as well as celebrating and thanking our Hearing Dogs family, the Hearing Information Days are part of our determination to keep reaching more people who need our help.”
The Hearing Information Days are free to attend.
For our event at The Grange we are hosting two sessions on the day – morning and afternoon. The content will be the same for both sessions.
