Belfast Self Management Programme ends on a high note

This past June saw the completion of the third and final day of our latest Self Management Programme in Northern Ireland with participants leaving on high note. Personal stories were recounted, valuable advice was shared and a sense of camaraderie was fostered. Taking place as three single day sessions over three months, our Belfast programme was facilitated by local Hearing Link volunteers who delivered information on topics ranging from communication strategies and equipment to relaxation, safety and well-being.

It was also an opportunity to welcome our two newest members of staff, Sarah Lynch and Sue Benham, who will be working in Northern Ireland as part of our Connect Hear NI project.  Sue is no stranger to Hearing Link having already spent quite some time as a volunteer and programme facilitator, while Sarah comes to us from Advice NI with experience building volunteer teams.
