The Tinnitus Clinic names Hearing Link its Charity of the year

The UK-wide charity Hearing Link has been named Charity of the Year 2016 by the independent audiological practice The Tinnitus Clinic.

The Tinnitus Clinic team

The Tinnitus Clinic specialises in tinnitus treatment and management, and provide hearing aid consultations and fitting. It has seven centres based across the UK in London, Manchester, Bristol, Leicester, Cheltenham, Edinburgh and Kent.

Throughout 2016, it will support Hearing Link by raising awareness of its services for people with hearing loss, including its specialist support programmes and helpdesk, and also help raise funds through different events at its branches.

Hearing Link is a UK charity active in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland which provides information and support for people with hearing loss, their families and friends.

Rekesh Patel BSc, MSc, CCC, RHAD, Clinic Manager and Principal Audiologist at The Tinnitus Clinic said: “Selecting our charity of the year wasn’t easy; however we wanted a charity which provided real practical support to help people who are living with hearing loss and tinnitus.

“We chose Hearing Link because of the people we have met, the stories their clients have told us and the energy which the charity has in helping people overcome their hearing problems.”

Dr Lorraine Gailey, Chief Executive of Hearing Link, said: “We are delighted to have been named Charity of the Year by The Tinnitus Clinic.  We look forward to working with their branches across the UK to raise awareness of our support for people with hearing loss and tinnitus. A large number of people in the UK often find that hearing loss and tinnitus go hand-in-hand and to be able to work together in partnership with The Tinnitus Clinic will be hugely beneficial for those we support.”
