Scotland team attend SCOD conference

Scottish Council on DeafnessHearing Link staff in Scotland attended the Scottish Council on Deafness (SCOD) conference in Glasgow this month.

Connect & Collaborate 2018 was an ample opportunity for our team to network with key members of the sector through exchanging of ideas, sharing knowledge and exploring new opportunities.

Held in Glasgow, there was a chance to attend workshops on Mental Health & Wellbeing, Inclusive Communication, People Centred Integrated Care and Addressing the Health Inequalities faced by Deaf People.  There were also keynote speeches by NHS Scotland and the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

Our volunteer May Wood (pictured with Alison Coyle) attended supporting the delivery of the event.

There was also a chance to promote Hearing Link’s work to other SCOD members and delegates in the marketplace, raising awareness of our services and support for people with hearing loss in Scotland.
