Self Management Week 2020 – 28th-2nd October

This week is Self Management Week 2020 in Scotland (28th September to 2nd October 2020).

Now in its 10th year, Self Management Week is led by The Health and Social Alliance Scotland The ALLIANCE).  It recognises and celebrates self management approaches happening across Scotland, raises awareness across health, social care and the third sector, and engages people to think about how self management can support their health and wellbeing.

The theme for this year’s event is ‘My Wellbeing, My Life’ and there is a series of events taking place throughout the week looking at different aspects relating to the subject.

Organisations such as ourselves, are an important and equal partner in supporting people to self manage their hearing loss and we are well positioned to respond to individual needs so each person can be in the driving seat when it comes to their health and wellbeing.

Hearing Link and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People offer a broad range of services, ranging from our Helpdesk to the provision of accredited hearing dogs, which support deaf people, those who have hearing loss and their families. Further details about our services and how to access them can be found here: https://www.hearingdogs.org.uk/helpingyou/
