Great turn out for August community days

Our Hearing Loss Community Days are back after a short break, and brought with them sunshine and our wonderful beneficiaries and deaf partners.

We held events in Market Rasen, Bury St Edmund’s and at our home at The Grange in Saunderton, Buckinghamshire.

We will cap off August with two further events in Exeter and Lymm in Cheshire. There’s still time to book your FREE place at these, or our other community days throughout the year. See our webpage for further details: hearinglink.org/hlcommunitydays

The Grange

At our southern training centre in Saunderton, we welcomed around 40 beneficiaries, deaf partners and their hearing dogs, and volunteers for a day full of education and building awareness around hearing loss.

As our highlights from the day show, it was a chance to find out more about the various types of support that we offer.

We were delighted to be joined by Anne, Sylvia and Phil, who shared their lived experiences with our guests.

We were also grateful to be joined by our IT and dog welfare teams and a BSL interpreter. We even had time for some fun dog agility in the wonderful sunshine! ☀

Thank you, to Aston Hearing Services Ltd who talked about hearing loss and the importance of getting your hearing checked!

Our Community Days are an opportunity for people with hearing loss, their friends and family, to meet other like them, and to share their experiences, ask questions and make new connections.
