Helpful Hours webinar – we’re recruiting

Hopefully you have been following with interest the development and success of our first Helpful Hour ‘How to get the most from your audiology appointment’.

We have held three in-person sessions in at Hearing Information Days this year, helping 73 people, and supported a further 37 people across three online webinars.

While over 70% of attendees already go to audiology, and are looking to improve that experience, over 20% have been professionals in the sector, showing an interest in the subject and a value to what we have made across the sector.

“The information will help clarify my thinking before an appointment and be more proactive during it, and unafraid to make my views heard.”

The presenters and co-presenters for our webinars are crucial to its success. We have four more bookable webinars in the diary for December to March and we’re looking to increase our number of presenters.

“I thought it was a ‘very’ helpful hour. It was presented really well, and the use of personal experiences and examples used was great.”

If you are curious to what the role might entail, please join our online meeting on Thursday 14 December from 4-5pm where you can put your questions to the volunteers involved in the development and presentation of this service.

Sign up here to see if this is the next chapter in your volunteering!

The meeting will be recorded and made available to volunteers unable to attend.
