Advice NI training session has great benefit

It was great to team up with Advice NI to deliver a PIP training session, relevant to hearing loss, in Belfast this week.

The Hearing Link Northern Ireland team supported Advice NI in the delivery of the session, while also raising awareness of the services and support we offer locally for people with hearing loss and their families.

Nuala Muldoon, Hearing Link’s Northern Ireland Manager, said: “We were delighted to support Advice NI in the delivery of this training session. It was a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the important changes set to take place in regards to the Personal Independence Payments reform. We were also delighted to help our attendees to discover more about the work of Hearing Link and how we can support them or their loved ones across Northern Ireland.”

The Advice NI Training Team said: “This training session updated for 2019 focuses on perhaps the most significant reform to non-means tested benefits in a generation. It provides participants with an overview of both parts of PIP, how the benefit is claimed and assessed, how to best prepare to complete an application and how to support someone through the process.”
