PIP awareness session for people with hearing loss – Northern Ireland

Hearing Link has teamed up with Advice NI to offer a training session on the forthcoming Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefits reform, that is accessible and relevant to people with hearing loss.

Join our team at Girdwood Community Hub in Belfast for this event which takes place on Tuesday 30th April.

It will start with a networking lunch at 1pm where attendees will have the chance to find out more about Hearing Link support and services in Northern Ireland. There will also be the chance to look at the types of equipment available to people with hearing loss.

The training session will begin at 2pm and will be delivered by a tutor from Advice NI. It will provide participants with an overview of both parts of PIP, how the benefit the claimed and assessed, how to best prepare to complete an application and how to support someone through the process.

A hearing loop will be available and communication support in the form of a Speech-to Text-Reporter is provided for the whole session. Ample parking is available on site.  For full details about the session, download our flyer.

Interested participants are asked to register their interest in attending this free session by emailing northernireland@hearinglink.org or by calling or text 07534 563451.
