Belfast information day

We were delighted to see so many people turn out for our information day in Belfast last Wednesday (12th September).

As part of the Big Lottery Funded Connect Hear Project, we held the event at Strandtown Baptist Church, Belfast, on Wednesday 12th September.

The session was well attended with 35 energetic people (40 if we include our friends with hearing dogs), all keen to make positive changes for those affected by hearing loss.

It was great to see family, friends, care workers and sensory support teams take part too – because as we know, it’s not just those directly affected by hearing loss who benefit from our information and support.

It was a great opportunity to raise awareness of the services Hearing Link can offer and to demonstrate lots of new equipment in a relaxed environment.

Newly recruited volunteer Robert said: “I really enjoyed this afternoon it was very relaxing, the people were lovely, it was great to meet new friends and people who understand the problems with hearing loss.”

This was the first in our exciting programme of events in Northern Ireland which will be rolled out this autumn. To find out more about any of our events in Northern Ireland contact our team.
