Belfast information day a success!

Hearing Link volunteers and staff were delighted to welcome along lots of new faces to our recent information event in Belfast.

This was our fourth event of 2018, run in partnership with our friends from Advanced Bionics, who were there to share information about cochlear implants.

These events, which are being held in every health and social care trust area in Northern Ireland, are a chance for individuals living with hearing loss and their families and friends to find out more about the types of support available. There is also an opportunity to find out about equipment that can help day-to-day when at home or out and about.

Most importantly it was a fantastic chance for people to meet others with similar experiences in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Nuala Muldoon, Hearing Link’s Northern Ireland Manager, said: “There was a fantastic atmosphere at our Belfast event and it was great to see so many people connect with each other and finding out more about support and equipment that’s available. It was great to know that we really helped people and changed their lives for the better.

“After our final session in Omagh in early December we will have successfully held an event in all the trust areas of Northern Ireland within the past  four months. I would like to say thank you to everyone who came along to learn more about Hearing Link, and also a huge thanks to our volunteers who made these events possible.”
