Walks & Talks for lipreaders final 2016 tour

The final Walk&Talks for Lipreaders will take place next month (November).

Join the group for a tour of Hidden Treasures of Forest Hill, South London, on Sunday 20th November between 11.30-1.30pm.

The walk will be lead by Diane Burstein, London Blue Badge Guide with support from lipspeakers Lynne Dubin and Dilys Palin.

The exploration will discover a lost canal, artists studios, a pub in a magnificent 20s cinema, a folly and a hilltop museum containing some eccentric collections.

While visiting the sites the group will learn about some notable inhabitants of the area including a brave clergyman and several wealthy businessmen who came for the location.

The group will also enjoy fabulous views from the top of the hill, and there will also be an opportunity to tour the Horniman Museum for those who want more entertainment after the walk.

Tickets cost £7. To book your place on the walk, download the booking form and return with your cheque to Lynne Dubin, to Walks&Talks for Lipreaders, 48 Cunliffe Close, Oxford OX2 7BL.

Guests should meet at Forest Hill overground train station.
