Research study about workers with hearing loss – can you help?

University of Southampton student Margaret Zuriekat is looking for working adults with hearing loss to support research for her PHD.

The study is looking at the hearing health care for workers with a hearing impairment. Margaret would like to interview working adults who have hearing difficulties to talk to them about how hearing loss affects them and any views concerning the service they received from their audiologists.

This PhD project is aiming to expand our understanding of how hearing loss affects people’s working life and how audiologists in the UK can support their working patients better, leading them to have a better quality of life.

Participants must be aged between 16-65 years old who work (paid, unpaid or voluntary work), have hearing difficulties and have seen an audiologist in the UK. This study is a one-off interview (30-60 minutes), Can be done face-to-face, through online video or audio calling, or instant messaging.
